The Parham House124 East Scott Avenue
|
This Queen Anne house, built in 1904, is currently being renovated. The exterior of the house features a bay window, wrap-around front porch with tongue-and-groove solid maple decking, and the original turned-wood columns. The focal point of the house is the extensive use of stained glass – which is natural, since the owners, Ben and Laura Parham, own and operate State of the Art Stained Glass. The front entry is quarter-sawn white oak, with the side panels opening for ventilation. The interior features heart-of-pine trim, floors, stairwell, and five-panel doors. The mantels are white oak with hand-beveled mirrors. The lighting is period to the house, although only the two missionary fixtures in the entry are original. |
