This Queen Anne Cottage was built circa 1885. Imbricated fishscale shingles on the second story, a gabled attic dormer with lattice pane windows and the leaded transom over the window on the first floor are all typical architectural features of the Queen Anne Cottage style. The front entry is approached from a one story wrap-around front and side porch with square wood columns. A distinctive feature of the house is the bay window on the east side of the building. Interior details in the woodwork, pocket doors, fireplaces, and large rooms all mark this house as a late 19th century cottage.
This house has been recently updated by its new
owners Becky and Steve Hancock to include a renovated second floor (enlarged
bathroom and new dormer), a new roof, and rebuilt chimneys.
