This
Queen Anne Cottage was built in 1898, and has a Bungalow influence in its design
elements. This
house is typical of many on Grainger and Leonard Place that are Queen Anne
cottages with Bungalow or Craftsman influenced front porches. In many
instances, these front porches from a later design era seem to be original,
and may reflect a unique departure from the Queen Anne style. Notable
features of the house, typical of its late 19th century origins, include the
hip roof with lower gables, partial cornice returns on the front gable, two
brick chimneys, and the wood louverd attic vent. The massing of the house is also typically Victorian, and interior
woodwork and other features
reflect the unique Victorian-era styling.
