This two-story house, built in 1906, is a good example of an American Four
Square. The front porch with its round wood columns, sawn wood balustrade, and the transom, as well as much of the interior woodwork, point to the 19th
century. The rectangular shape of the house and interior woodwork point to its leanings toward a 20th century design. Exterior restoration has included
wood siding repair and painting. Interior projects have included reworking the upstairs from a four bedroom, one bath to a three bedroom, two bath
home. Ample closet space, a luxury not often found in older homes, has been added, and the kitchen has been enlarged to enclose the former back porch
and create a laundry.
