 Our Old North Knoxville neighborhood group has begun a new year of protecting, preserving and promoting this unique and historic community.
I would like to take a moment to thank all those who participated in the events and projects undertaken in 2007.
Especially the many volunteers who helped to make our Holiday Home Tour possible. We could not pull this tour off each year without the thousands of volunteer hours that go into preparation of this annual event. We no sooner finish the event when planning begins for next year's tour.
Therefore, now is a good time for you to consider what contribution you might make to the 2008 Holiday Home Tour. Whether it's putting your home on the tour or giving your time to prepare for and or work during the event. We need you to make this home tour possible.
Our group functions only because your neighbors are willing to give their time to causes that effect all of Old North Knoxville. From neighborhood cleanups, traffic calming projects, building a neighborhood park, writing this newsletter, holding an ice cream social, to planning and working at our annual Home Tour. Volunteers do it all.
Let this be the year you decide to lend support to any or all of Old North Knoxville's many neighborhood events. You will be surprised how much fun all this work can be.
