ETP-TV Telethon

 On Saturday, August 12th neighbors
Andy Anderson, Sonja Anderson, Dave Angel, John
Atkins, Donna Brechko, Pete Creel, Margo and Jerad
Hughes, Sonny Jones, Chester Kilgore, Jane Parker, Lauren Rider and
Ernie Roberts gathered on East Magnolia Avenue to support ETP-TV in their August Telethon. While supporting the local public television station with something as fun as answering phones is rewarding in itself, the volunteers were also provided with a delicious dinner donated by
Chandler’s on Magnolia and Mayfield ice cream for desert. Andy Anderson, who has been rallying neighbors to participate in the ETP-TV Membership Drives since 1981, accepted a lovely thank you card on behalf of the neighborhood. The card emphasized that with our help, ETP-TV was able to raise over $93,000! This money will be used to purchase PBS’ award-winning children’s programs and acclaimed primetime series. Thank you to the volunteers and everyone in Old North Knoxville for their continued support.
