Notice of Election

Pursuant to the charter of Old North Knoxville, Inc., this will constitute official notice of election and list of proposed nominations for the officers and board of Old North Knoxville, Inc.  Elections will beheld during the regularly scheduled monthly meeting of Old North Knoxville on October 25, 2001 at 1411 Armstrong Avenue, beginning at 7 PM.  All paid up members of Old North Knoxville, Inc. are entitled to vote in this election.  Nominations will be accepted from the floor on the day of the election.  However, any nominations from the floor must have been approved by the nominee in advance and the nominee must be a paid-up member of Old North Knoxville, Inc.

Nominations for officers for the year 2002 for Old North Knoxville, Inc. are: President - Tomica Miller, Vice-President- Andy Anderson, Secretary- Bob Lavoie, Co-Treasurers - Tom & Donna Brechko.  Nominations for Board of Directors with terms ending in 2004 are Penny Baxter, Lynn Palmer, Susan Hamilton, David Vogel and David Palmer.

 We will also be electing one board member with term ending in 2002 to replace Father Rick Walsh who resigned due to relocation.  The nominee is Annalee Bohon.  Finally, we are electing another board member with term ending in 2002 to bring each of the three groups of bard members to six, with a total of 18 board members.  The nominee for this slot is Jonathan Taylor.  Thanks to all these involved and concerned neighbors for volunteering for these important positions.

This years' nominating committee consisted of : Chester Kilgore, Donna Brechko, Doug Owenby, Marvin Payne, Althea Creel and Annalee Bohon.  Our heartfelt thanks to this group for a job well done!
