Empowerment Zone Seeks Input

As a member of the North
Zone Advisory Councils (ZAC) within the Empowerment
Zone (EZ), your neighborhood has a vested interest in the success of the
Empowerment Zone. Old North Knoxville has two of its members on the North
ZAC committee, Tom Brechko and Susan Hamilton. The ZAC is
now at the point of seeking specific areas and directions to concentrate on for
the expenditure of the EZ funds. They are asking for our input and help on
this very important process. If you are interested in being on a
subcommittee or just letting Tom and Susan know your ideas and thoughts, you can
contact them through the editor of this newsletter at 673-8995 or by calling Susan
Smathers, the North ZAC advisor at 522-5935. In the next new years, an
awful lot of money is going to be spent on the project. Shouldn't Old
North Knoxville be at least one of the recipients of this community
investment?
