In the 19th century there were books on the meaning and arrangement of flowers and herbs. Sometimes called florigraphy, it talked about what a flower might mean alone or in combination with another flower. For example, a marigold alone meant grief, but in combination with a rose it referred to the bittersweet or pleasant pains of a present love.
Today, we don't often think about those things when ordering flowers, but fortunately, there are places that can help us in selecting the right flowers for the occasions. One such place is
The Flower Pot. Located at 2314 N. Broadway (across from Kroger), it has been serving Knoxville for 38 years.
Eric Dodson, owner, and his nine employees invite ONK residents to visit The Flower Pot florist for fresh cut flowers and arrangements, indoor plants, and a selection of gifts to make holidays and every day a special occasion. The Flower Pot is committed to offering only the finest products, backed by service that is friendly and prompt.
If you don't have time to visit, call 523-5121 for a delivery of your favorite plants to brighten your home or workplace, or as a gift. Their floral team can deliver both locally and nationally through their affiliation with Telaflora. The shop is open from 7:30 to 5, Monday - Friday; and 7:30 to 3 on Saturday.
