If there are any locations where you would like a tree planted next year, please contact Kim Davis by e-mail at zoomfactor@fredsgarage.net or call 974-1847. Trees contribute to our quality of life through their beauty, reduction of air and noise pollution, energy-saving shade and cooling, enhancement of property values, and attraction to wildlife such as birds. Or in Kilmer's words, "A tree that may in Summer wear / A nest of robins in her hair." Old North News would like to thank the
City of Knoxville, including City Arborist Jeff McCarter, for making us part of their plans to improve Knoxville's urban forest, and thanks also to Kim Davis and Susan Hamilton for their involvement.
