Owned and managed by Suzanne Shelton, Shelton Communications Group was founded in 1991. Located in a restored Victorian house at 777 North Fifth Avenue, Shelton Communications Group is a full-service communications firm whose motto is “Create a reaction.” The company employs fourteen staffers and two interns, and has clients ranging from health care providers to utilities, from business technology companies to colleges and universities. They have even done some work for Old North Knoxville, Inc., the neighborhood organization representing the neighborhood where Suzanne Shelton resides. Her home, for which she has won a Preservation Award, has been on the annual Christmas Home Tour several times. Shelton Communications Group offers both strategic marketing planning and strong creative work. To fulfill those goals, they create and handle general advertising and marketing, including broadcast, print, web site, and multimedia.
