Thankful for the many volunteers and sponsors

Every neighborhood event needs the help of people whose names you may never know, some them people who don't even live in the neighborhood. They worked on the trolleys, in the homes, at the ticket booth, and even before the tour happened. They worked on advertising, decorating, cleaning up, and many details, large and small that need to be taken care of in order to make the Holiday Home Tour succeed. To all those people, thank you.

Thanks also to Scott Schimmel and Lisa Sorensen as chairs for the Home Tour Committee and to all the members of committee. They were the skeleton without which the tour would not have been able to move forward. Thank you to the home owners who opened up their homes. For two days they greeted people they didn't know and invited them into their homes and lives.
Thank you to WUOT, Comcast, Kroger, St. Mary's Health System, and Wells Fargo Home Mortgage for being official sponsors of the home tour. Thank you to all those who purchased ads in the calendar. Some of the sponsors and advertisers were new this year and many have help Old North out for many years. Their support is vital to the success of the Home Tour. Thank you, too, to the Knoxville Area Transit (KAT) for renting trolleys to Old North Knoxville. This was the first year we rented trolleys instead of busses, and the trolleys added a more festive air to the tour, particularly since we could decorate them.

Thank you to all who came. Without your interest and attendance, we would not have funds to help make Old North Knoxville not just a better historic neighbor hood, but a better all around neighborhood.
