This January 29th will mark the beginning of a new monthly meeting place for the Old North Knoxville neighborhood association. The new meeting place is the Fourth Presbyterian Church at the corner of W. Glenwood and Broadway. We have met in this church before, usually for events such as Neighborhood Watch meetings and potluck suppers. Speaking of Potluck suppers, in order to get our new meeting place off to a positive start, Old North Knoxville neighborhood association is sponsoring the First Neighborhood Potluck of 2004, at least the first one of ONK. As in the past, ONK will provide the meat, plates, and silverware. Those wanting to participate will need to bring a side dish, such deviled eggs or potato salad or whatever you would like. The gathering for the potluck will begin at 6:15 p.m. Eating will begin at 6:30 p.m. The regular monthly meeting will begin at 7 p.m. All at the new location, which is the lower level meeting room of the Fourth Presbyterian Church at the corner of Broadway and W. Glenwood. To sign up to bring something, call or send an e-mail to either Tomica Miller or Dodi Payne. Tomica's e-mail is daveandt@bellsouth.net. Phone is 521-7884. Dodi Payne's e-mail address is dkf131@bellsouth.net. Her phone number is 673-0036. Side dishes, deserts, other items are needed, so don't be shy. Just bring enough for yourself and some to share. This is a chance to meet your neighbors, ones you already know and new ones. Let's start the first meeting of the new year off right!
