Repeat of Old North Knoxville on National TV

So you missed it the first time. Six thirty in the morning on Sunday too early for you? Forgot to set your VCR? Well, now you have your chance to try again. On Sunday, March 31^st at 6:30 a.m. on WATE-TV (Channel 6), Ron Hazelton’s HouseCalls will once again show the segment they filmed in June 2001 at the residence of Beth and David Booker. The show aired for the first time in November 2001. But now you have a second chance. Don’t say you haven’t been warned.

On Friday, June 1, 2001, the crew of nine and Ron Hazelton spent 13 hours with the Bookers, including positioning lights, a camera, a cart with monitoring equipment, laying down cables, air hoses, and drop clothes, checking and adjusting wireless microphones, changing camera angles and doing close ups, as well as filming several takes of many of the scenes. All this in addition to measuring and cutting and nailing into place the casing around the bathroom door in the master bedroom, and creating two segments of missing baseboard and toe-kick trim. Traffic on East Scott Ave. slowed due to the presence of a large motor home, two vans, and two equipment trucks carrying everything from filming equipment to home-improvement tools and materials.

So, if you missed the commotion when they were here and if you missed it the first time it made it on national syndicated TV, now you have your chance to catch it. If nothing else, it will give you something to chuckle at.
