While it is not the object of this newsletter to become a conduit for everyone or all businesses to find employees, there are occasions that are exceptions to the rule. This month we have such an exception. This position is such that it will benefit the Old North Knoxville neighborhood. Knox Heritage (KH) is looking for someone to fill the important position of Administrative Assistant. (Yes, it is a paying position!) The person selected will provide support to the Knox Heritage President in the general administration and operations of the office. This individual will perform a variety of duties related to KH's exciting program and initiatives. Among them are the following:
Some of the qualifications sought are High School Diploma or GED, minimum of 2-3 years of office-related experience, knowledge of Word, Excel, Access and Windows-based accounting software. The successful candidate will also be an excellent communicator, who is self-motivated and enjoys problem-solving. The position is initially a 2/3 time position of 30 hours per week at KH's office in the renovated Bijou Theater in the heart of downtown.
