Neighbor News

Lynne and I would like to thank everyone in the neighborhood who supported us with their cards, sympathy, concerns and prayers over the sudden illness and death of my father last month.  Your support brought home once again the fact that Old North Knoxville is far and away the best neighborhood in Knoxville to live in.

January's neighborhood meeting gave us a chance to thank everyone who allowed their house to be on tour by presenting them note cards printed with the picture an description of their home, taken from the calendar.  We hope this small token of appreciation will become an annual expression of gratitude for their participation.

At the same meeting, each of the tour committee members was presented with a certificate of appreciation for their hard work in making the tour such as success.

Not to be left out, Tomica Miller, the tour chair, was presented with a certificate of appreciation and a ream of paper to help replace the paper she generated in keeping such good notes of the tour meetings.

Finally, a special thanks in the way of a plaque and gift certificate to Home Depot was given to our erstwhile calendar layout person, Jesse Ursery, for the dedication he has shown in putting together the calendar each year.  (Jesse, we did note that you said you would do it again next year.)
