This month's highlighted board member is Pete Creel. Pete was
elected to the board this year with his term ending in 2002.
Pete and his wife Althea have lived in Old North Knoxville for 2 years, moving here from New Orleans. They have four children and three grandchildren. Pete works for Pep Boys Auto Parts to support himself and Althea while she continues here quest to become a lawyer so that Pete can live in the style to which he would like to become accustomed. Even though Pete and Althea are relatively new members of the neighborhood, they have wasted no time in becoming involved in neighborhood activities. Pete was very active on the Holiday Home Tour, both in the planning stages and the active part, taking charge of the ticket booth during the tour. Pete is also the chief cook and sauce maker for our spaghetti dinner. In his spare time he is working on getting quotes and layouts for the proposed signs and banners, as well as participating in the Special Projects Committee. Pete is one of the people we depend on to help keep our neighborhood active and growing. If we need to do something, we know we can count on Pete to help in getting it done. Thanks, Pete, for being a good neighbor and serving on the Old North Knoxville Board of Directors. |
