As you may have seen in the president’s corner, or even on the neighborhood
website, ONK was awarded a $30,000 grant by
Rohm and Haas. This is a substantial step towards establishing our park,
a project that was started by
David Booker over 4 years ago. Grant moneys are generally awarded for
very specific items, which means we need to continue to raise funds and
volunteer hours. The park committee is open to anyone interested in working on
this project, where “working” is the operative word.
As our first fundraiser we are selling engraved brick. Each brick can have up to 3 lines with up to 14 characters each. Bricks are priced at $50 a piece and would make excellent Christmas gifts.
A Meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, December 13th at 6:30 p.m. at the Time Warp Tea Room to discuss and finalize a design. All are welcome.
