THE TIME WARP TEA ROOM

The Time Warp Tea Room at 1209 North Central is one of Old North Knoxville's newest businesses. Owner Daniel P. Moriarty opened the tearoom & coffee shop in October of this year.

The Time Warp Tea Room is located at 1209 North Central. They offer a selection of beverages and foods in a decor of antiques and motorcycle memorabilia.

The Time Warp Tea Room offers a wide selection of gourmet coffee beverages, tea, chai, and hot chocolate in a nonsmoking atmosphere. To go along with your beverage consider enjoying a bagel or pastry. They feature homemade cookies, tea cakes, and brownies. They also offer homemade soups, chili, and a full house chili/tamale combo that you can eat while you watch classic movies and sports on the big screen television.

And for those who are vintage motorcycle enthusiasts, the Tea Room features a unique interior décor of old-time antiques (check out the ceiling, and the coffee bar) and vintage motorcycle memorabilia (check out the "wallpaper" made of vintage motorcycle newsletters.) If the day is warm, enjoy your treats on the back deck. Smoking is allowed on the deck. Off-street parking is available in the rear.

The Tea Room is currently open from 11:00 AM until 9:30 PM Monday through Thursday.  On Fridays and Saturdays, the doors open at 11:00 AM and close when the music act is finished (usually 11:00 PM). For a schedule of bands playing at the Time Warp Tea Room, go to http://www.myspace.com/timewarptearoom. Call ahead at 524-1155 and you can pick up your order packed and ready to go. You can also reserve their largest table for meetings and events.
