Who: Old North Knoxville and Friends

What: Fourth Annual White Water Rafting Trip

Where: On the Ocoee River in Southeast Tennessee, in the Cherokee National Forest. It has continuous whitewater descending 5 miles from the Ocoee Dam #2 to its powerhouse - creating exciting Class III and IV rapids. 

When: Sunday, September 9.  Meet at 1:15pm at the parking lot of Fourth Presbyterian and we will arrive at Sunburst about 3:00pm for orientation and get on the river about 3:30pm. We should be home by 8:30pm.

Why:  To have outdoor fun with your neighbors and make new friends.  Those who have gone in the past have had a blast, and this year should be no exception!

How: We will travel to Sunburst Adventures, the oldest rafting company on the Ocoee River.  No prior experience is needed! Here we will be prepped on safety, fitted for equipment, and assigned rafting guides. Bring complete change of clothing and wear tennis shoes in your raft.  No sandals or flipflops in the rafts.  You will get WET!

How much: $28 covers the rafting part; gas and food are extra. If we get 12 to go, there is a $2 discount. Checks should be made to Ernie Roberts, and you may bring the checks to the potluck dinner and meeting on Thursday, August 30.
