At Long Last

At last my first attempt at being a newsletter editor is materializing. I know the anticipation has been pretty intense for everyone, especially since there was no May/June issue to hold us over. In the last newsletter I was introduced as the new Old North News editor, however, my name is no longer Margo Kagan. You may remember that the reason you had to go without a newsletter in May is because I was planning my wedding, which took place right here in Old North on May 13th. Therefore I would like to take this opportunity to RE-introduce myself: My name is Margo Hughes and I am very excited about being ONK’s new newsletter editor. In an attempt not to bore you with our wedding details, we would just like to say how proud we are that we were able to spend the most wonderful day of our lives in this neighborhood. Living in such a close community means a lot to us and it was wonderful being able to share that sense of community with our families and friends. We consider ONK an oasis consisting of large trees, flowery gardens, clean streets (especially after cleanups) and colorful houses. On a magnificent day, like the one we had on May 13th, we can’t imagine a better place in the world than Old North Knoxville.
I will be trying some new formats to see which one fits and I’d love to hear feedback about which ones you like best. Please e-mail your thoughts to:
. Any suggestions are welcome. Of course it will take some time for me to work out some of the details, so bear with me. In the meantime, I hope I can do this newsletter’s legacy justice, so you continue to enjoy reading about the things happening in your neighborhood.
