In the May/June issue of Old North News, I mistakenly reported in the “Marker Beautification” article that there were four markers in Old North Knoxville. I am happy to report that there are five (5) markers. The fifth marker is on Grainger Ave., just behind the BP station. What’s more, the marker has already been beautified. Chester Kilgore, Lou Russell, and Bryant Ayers are keeping up this marker. Thank you. And thank you, Chester, for pointing out my error. My apologies. |
