In this installment we profile

GREENLEE'S BICYCLE SHOP

Spring is upon us. Flowers are blooming, trees are leafing out, and those News Year's resolutions have not yet completely faded from memory. They linger, particularly the one about getting in shape or coming more with the nature. Well, Greenlee's Bicycle Shop might just have the thing to help you keep that resolution alive. Think Lance Armstrong. Think bicycle. Either the one you have in cellar gathering dust like a forgotten resolution or a new one.

Greenlee's Bicycle Shop at the corner of Glenwood and Broadway has been in business for over 100 years selling bicycles, bicycle parts, and even the occasional unicycle.

Located at the corner of Glenwood and Broadway, 1402 Broadway to be exact, Greenlee's offers the expertise to repair that bicycle you already have, sell you the part you need so you can repair it, or sell you a new or used bicycle. The other day they even had a unicycle for sale for $89.

Open 10 a.m. - 6 p.m., Monday through Friday, and 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. on Saturday, Greenlee's has been in business since 1899 and is still operated by the same family. Vic Kruzic is the manager, C.L. Majors is the owner and they or their staff will help you with your bicycle questions. Give them a call at 865-522-8228.

"We appreciate the business from Old North Knoxville neighborhood," C.L. Majors said. "Plus we are happy the area is rebuilding with such nice friends." Who knows, with a little help from Greenlee's, you might just be on your way to the next Tour de France, or at least a nice bike ride around Old North.
