We at Old North News want to help our readers become better acquainted with the businesses in our area and what they have to offer. In this installment we profile Grand Buffet Missing from Old North Knoxville has been a restaurant offering oriental cuisine. With the recent opening of the Grand Buffet at 2011 N. Broadway that niche has been filled. Located in the same shopping center as Kroger, Grand Buffet serves “over 120 items daily, including snow crab legs, shrimp, beef, chicken, pork, mussels, fish, sushi rolls, appetizers, soup, desserts, ice cream” and more, including vegetable dishes for vegetarians. Chinese, American, and Japanese dishes are offered, most available at the all-you-can-eat buffet serving tables. Individual dishes can be ordered off a menu. Carry out buffet is also available. Open Sunday through Saturday, price for the lunch buffet is $5.25 per person Monday through Saturday, 11a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Sunday lunch buffet begins at 11:30 a.m. Dinner buffer is $7.95 per person Monday through Thursday (4 p.m. to 10 p.m.), and $8.95 Friday through Sunday. Prices are lower for children under 12. Prices vary for individual dishes ordered off the menu. Dishes do not contain MSG.
