KenJo

With the coming of Spring we seem to see an increase in the amount of debris on
the street, sidewalk and lawns around the KenJo (located at the corner of Scot
and Central) all the way to Cornelia and even further. While we cannot
blame it all on the KenJo, it does seem that we could ask for some cooperation
from the store in helping to keep our neighborhood clean and neat.
With that in mind, neighbor David Whaley contacted the regional offices of KenJo recently. They were very receptive to talking with us and offered to send representatives to our March 29 meeting. At this meeting, members of our neighborhood shared their concerns with the regional and local managers of this store, and the KenJo representatives were kind enough to bring sandwiches and beverages for everyone at the meeting. Among the things that they are going to look into are: possible installation of a security camera on the side of the store, paying more attention to the litter problem in the parking lot, and reducing the level of cigarette smoke in the store. Thanks to David Whaley for taking the initiative in facilitating communication between KenJo and the neighborhood about these ongoing problems. |
