Greenway Clean-up! Saturday, Oct. 13th

This Saturday, Oct. 13th, Old North Knoxville will be sponsoring a clean-up along First Creek Greenway. Once again nature needs our help!

What: ONK First Creek Greenway clean-upEvent sponsor
When: Saturday, October 13th from 9 - noon

Volunteers of all ages and abilities are needed for a variety of tasks including cleaning in the open areas of the greenway as well as cleaning the creek bed (wear your waders please) and the rough weedy areas at the sides of the creek. You may help for any or all of this neighborhood event.

Volunteers should meet in the greenway parking lot at 6th and Cottage Place. Bring along work gloves, wheelbarrows, waders, and any other tools you think you might need.

We'll have plenty of cold bottled water and trash bags (courtesy of Keep Knoxville Beautiful), a dumpster (courtesy of the City of Knoxville), and snacks provided by Three Rivers MarketOld North Knoxville will provide pizza luncheon at the end of the event.

If you'd like to volunteer or have questions, please e-mail Beth Booker (kalrecop@bellsouth.net.) Knowing how many people are coming helps us have enough supplies on hand.
