Alternative Polling Location Being Considered for Old North Knoxville

As a result of the pending redevelopment of Brownlow Elementary School (see the story here), Old North Knoxville and Fourth and Gill residents are looking at the possibility of a new voting location.  At ONK's monthly meeting last February 28, Nelson Willis announced that Central United Methodist Church may be serving as a the 11th Ward polling location for the next election on May 7.  It is located at 201 3rd Avenue, right off Broadway after turning onto Morgan Street. Mr. Willis emphasized that this location is highly probable but not yet definite; the church's Administrative Board will have a meeting March 17 to finalize this decision.
