What: Third Annual White Water Rafting Trip

Where: 5 miles of exciting class II, III, and IV rapids on the middle section of the River near Cleveland and Benton, TN.

When: Sunday, September 10, leaving the 4th Presbyterian Church Parking lot caravan style at 1:00 pm returning to Knoxville around 7 pm or later.  Eat lunch before leaving your house. We need to be at Sunburst by 2:30 pm.  Carpooling is encouraged!

Why:  To have outdoor fun with your neighbors and make new friends.  Those who have gone in the past have had a blast, and this year should be no exception!

How: We will travel to Sunburst Adventures, the oldest rafting company on the Ocoee River.  No prior experience is needed! Here we will be prepped on safety, fitted for equipment, and assigned rafting guides. Bring complete change of clothing and wear tennis shoes in your raft.  No sandals or flipflops in the rafts.  You will get WET!

How much: $28 covers the rafting part. Checks should be made to Ernie Roberts, because he is covering the cost through his Mastercard. You may bring the checks to the potluck dinner and meeting on Thursday, August 31. The absolute deadline for the money is September 3. Pictures, souvenirs, and food are extra cost. For those who wish to eat supper before returning to Knoxville, we will try to eat together somewhere near Cleveland.

Details or questions: Contact Ernie Roberts at 521-7802 or by .  He will take your checks also at 224 West Glenwood Avenue.
