Rafting Trip!

Who: Old North Knoxville and Friends

What: White Water Rafting Trip

Where: 5 miles of exciting class II, III, and IV rapids on the middle section of the River near Cleveland and Benton, TN.

When: August 28, 2004 leaving the 4th Presbyterian Church Parking lot caravan style at 12:30 pm returning to Knoxville around 8 pm or later.  Eat lunch before leaving your house. We need to be at Sunburst by 2:30 pm.  Carpooling is encouraged!

Why:  To have outdoor fun with your neighbors and make new friends.

How: We will travel to Sunburst Adventures, the oldest rafting company on the Ocoee River.  Here we will be prepped on safety, fitted for equipment, and assigned rafting guides. Bring complete change of clothing and wear tennis shoes in your raft.  No sandals or flipflops in the rafts!  You will get WET!

How much: $33 covers the rafting part. Checks should be made to Old North Knoxville, received by August 21, please. Pictures, souvenirs, and food are extra cost. For those who wish to eat supper before returning to Knoxville, we will try to eat together somewhere near Cleveland.
