Hurricane
relief & well being found here in Old North Knoxville
September 3, 2005
Julie Belcher of Old North Knoxville gives the following report:
"Our friends, Ron & Lorraine (along with Ron's father,
5 cats and 2 dogs) have evacuated from Louisiana to our house in old
north Knoxville & it looks like they will be here a while... Ron
& Lorraine had a yoga & massage therapy studio in New Orleans
& have been displaced. Not only have they lost their homes - they
have lost their city. Let's make them welcome in Knoxville & maybe
we can keep 'em here.
"If you've been thinking of starting yoga or would like more
instruction or need a massage or want to treat a friend, now is the
time! This is a terrific proactive way to help out. To find out more
please contact me or
email Lorraine & Ron
directly at
or call our home phone - 865.522.3698. We
would like to get a list of interested people together on one list that
would like to receive emails about when/where.
"Please pass this on to anyone who might be interested or have a
space where Ron & Lorraine could offer some yoga classes. They will
be doing several classes at Gypsy Hands, the Healing Arts Center
and I will send out more info when I have it. Additional classes could
be offered at the Unitarian Church on Kingston Pike, Well by Nature or
the Arts & Culture Alliance."
Julie encourages everyone to donate money and non-perishable food
