Old Gray Cemetery Lantern and Carriage Tour

Old Gray Cemetery will hold its annual Lantern and Carriage Tour on Sunday, September 30, 2007. From 4 p.m. until 7 p.m., guests will enjoy horse drawn carriage rides with Gilliland Farms, visiting local artists, music by Mountain Laurel, refreshments and exploring youth spent and misspent as re-enactors share stories of lives cut far too short throughout three centuries of Knoxville history. From Tennessee’s most catastrophic train wreck to following the path of pirates in the Caribbean, from teachers and soldiers to socialites and members of the British aristocracy, please join us for an evening of some of the cemetery’s most interesting yet least known stories. Tour held Rain or Shine. Contact Old Gray Cemetery, 543 North Broadway, (865) 522-1424 for registration ($ 10.00 Adults $ 5.00 Students) and further information.
